Modern Craftsman

800 sqft addition and a gut renovation, located in historic district of Georgetown, TX. The original structure was a run down 867 sqft 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house.  We worked with the Historic and Architectural Review commission and was involved all through design and construction of the project.  

Minimalist Kitchen and Master Bath Upgrade

Located in South Austin, this single family house lacked a proper master suite and a kitchen for a cook.  Thus through space planning, a proper master suite with a walk in closet and a bathroom is created within the additional family room. The master bathroom features a walk in shower with a bench and a free standing tub; a unique quartz tall niche and a floating vanity with two sinks. 

The kitchen is doubled in size with a long island and full height cabinets for additional storage.  We were involved through planning, design and construction management. 

Red Farmhouse

Modern farmhouse upgrade for short term rental / airbnb right outside of Waco, TX. This is a kitchen renovation and decoration project.  Since cost savings was an important element, we found creative ways to make the biggest impact on the space. 

Lakehouse Getaway

Lakehouse Getaway is a gut renovation and 200 sqft addition project.  Located right across the Pedernales river, the 1750 sqft 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house embodies earthy materials and natural tones. Open  concept kitchen faces the dining room and the living room.  10' long island acts like a center piece.  One single floating shelf carries all the way through at the back wall. We have designed and managed the construction of this project from start to finish.

Nordic Upgrade

Total remodel bringing out the cottage charm. Restained existing hardwood flooring at the front of the house and ibstalled new hardwood flooring at the back to continue the cohesive look throughout. Opened up the kitchen with a rustic style beam; installed custom cabinets to accompany existing wood cabinets while updating the hardware to bring it up to todays standards. Created a beatiful window nook. Reframed the back wing to include a true master suit with a barn door leading to two sink vanity and a walk in curbless shower. Terracotta tile continues from the floor up on shower wall. 

Cost of project includes foundation leveling, electrical rewiring; reinstalling gas lines and installing an HVAC system bringing this charming cottage to todays comfort level

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a Kinfolk magazine. I expressed my wishes of having a clean, natural interior aesthetic and they truly delivered – the natural light in my newly designed home is to die for. They also helped me turn my dated, drab living room into a spacious and cozy space in which I can’t wait to host a party. I had the pleasure of working with Alice on redecorating my childhood home that hadn’t been touched up since I was a teen in the 80’s.
